Mental Wellness

Mental health is part of overall health and deserves timely care.

What to know

Stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use, sleep problems, and medical conditions can affect mood and function. Symptoms may include persistent sadness or worry, irritability, loss of interest, poor concentration, sleep change, or physical complaints.

Effective treatment may include counseling, lifestyle support, medication, community resources, or a combination.

Steps that may help

  • Talk openly about symptoms, substance use, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain regular sleep, meals, activity, and social connection where possible.
  • Avoid using alcohol or drugs to manage distress.
  • Take psychiatric medication only as directed and do not stop suddenly without guidance.

When to contact our office

Schedule a visit when mood, anxiety, sleep, concentration, or substance use is interfering with work, relationships, school, or daily life.
